NFL salutes military, fans and football greats at NFL Draft

The National Football League announced Wednesday the roster of guests scheduled to announce draft picks live from Radio City Music Hall during the 2011 NFL Draft that kicks off in primetime Thursday, at 8 p.m. ET (Round 1), and continues Friday at 6 p.m. ET (Rounds 2-3) and Saturday at noon ET (Rounds 4-7).

During Round 1, members of the United States Armed Forces from the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and the Wounded Warrior Project will be honored on the stage at Radio City Music Hall. In addition, one member of the military will announce a draft pick live from the podium during Round 3 on Friday night.

The NFL previously announced that 32 legendary NFL alumni, one representing each team, will announce every selection of the second round live Friday. This will mark the first time in draft history every selection in a round has been announced by former players.

In addition, more than 20 fans will make announcements for their teams. Fans chosen by NFL teams throughout the league will join sweepstakes winners and sponsors Bud Light and Verizon in making selections. Bud Light provided their Ultimate Fan the chance to join an NFL alumnus on stage to announce his or her favorite team's second-round pick, and Verizon is the presenting sponsor of the 2011 NFL Draft Dream Sweepstakes, which awarded three fans the opportunity to make a pick for their favorite NFL teams during the third and fourth rounds.

The 2011 NFL Draft will be broadcast on NFL Network and ESPN/ESPN2. Fans also can watch the live NFL Network stream on NFL Mobile. For more information on the 2011 NFL Draft, including how to attend, visit www.nfl.com/draft.
