NFL takes lead on investigation involving Miami Dolphins players

NFL officials have said the mental health of its players is as important as their physical health. It's one reason why the league created the Player Engagement department, which has representatives with every team.

Now, the league is looking at a situation with the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins suspended guard Richie Incognito late Sunday night amid allegations of Incognito threatening teammate Jonathan Martin, who left the team last week.

There seems to be some evidence that Incognito's father might have gotten involved, according to The Miami Herald.

In one of the voicemails to Martin, Incognito used a racial slur and threatened violence, NFL Media's Albert Breer reported. The NFL is investigating.
