Many NFL teams observed Veterans Day in a variety of ways:
- ESPN profiledAlejandro Villanueva, who is an Army veteran as well as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers practice squad. Coach Mike Tomlin announced Villanueva would make the next road trip, which practice players don't normally do.
- ClevelandBrowns.com detailed how the Browns commemorated Veterans Day by hosting 75 soldiers at practice.
- The St. Louis Rams also hosted more than 100 military members to Tuesday's practice, according to StLouisRams.com.
- SI.com looked at three athletes' stories whose lives were changed by joining the military, including former Denver Broncos running back Mike Anderson.
- Titans Online reported that quarterback Jake Locker has teamed up with "Nashville Honors Heroes" -- a relatively new non-profit with the goal of making Nashville the nation's most military friendly city.
- Buccaneers.com reported how Tampa Bay Buccaneers players visited the VA on Veterans Day.
- Chargers.com reported how the San Diego Chargers visited Camp Pendleton on Veterans Day.
