Evans predicts Eagles' 2013 season
Heath Evans believes the Philadelphia Eagles will go 7-9 during the 2013 NFL season. He says Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs will beat the Eagles in Week 3. But Evans sees the Eagles beating the Green Bay Packers in Week 10 with coach Chip Kelly's new read-option offense.
Suggs on Ravens' leadership
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs says he had a great time at the White House on Wednesday. Suggs said he had no idea that President Barack Obama had so much swagger. When asked about defensive leadership, he said the Ravens have linebacker Jameel McClain and cornerback Lardarius Webb, who have been around and will be great leaders for the team. Suggs believes there has to be more than one guy who steps up, but he plans to be one of the biggest voices in the locker room. He said they have great expectations for all of their additions.
Biggest challenge to the Ravens
Willie McGinest believes the Cincinnati Bengals will challenge the Balitmore Ravens in the AFC North because they're coming off a great season and brought in some quality players through the draft. McGinest feels Bengals rookie tight end Tyler Eifert will make an instant impact and running back Giovani Bernard will be a great complement to BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Evans believes the Pittsburgh Steelers will be the better challenger because they've been the most consistent team. Evans says as long as the Steelers stay healthy, the team will make the playoffs.
New Packers' rushing attack
McGinest believes the Packers will add balance to their game plan by running the ball more with rookies Eddie Lacy and Johnathan Franklin. McGinest believes that both players are quality backs, and we could see a change in the Packers' short-yardage tendencies. McGinest feels this would reduce sacks and give the offensive line more confidence.
Berry believes in Smith
Eric Berry told the story of how he was attacked by a horse at a petting zoo when he was a child, so that's why he's terrified of horses. Berry said the Chiefs laid a great foundation last season even though they went 2-14, and they all got closer from the experience. The safety also stated that he really likes Alex Smith because the quarterback is a great competitor who doesn't back down from anything.
