Georgia running back Nick Chubb and 11 of his Bulldog teammates highlighted Thursday's release of the Reese's Senior Bowl's 2018 Watch List.
Chubb, who ranked No. 12 on Chase Goodbread's top Heisman Trophy candidates for 2017, rushed for 1,130 yards and eight scores last year. Other Bulldogs joining the talented halfback on the watch list included outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter and fellow running back Sony Michel.
Alabama wasn't far behind Georgia when it came to prospects to watch. Ten Tide players made the initial cut, with pass rusher Rashaan Evans, linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton and defensive end Da'Shawn Hand highlighting the 'Bama contingency.
Heisman hopefuls like Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield, Washington QB Luke Falk, Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett, Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph and Oregon running back Royce Freeman also dotted the initial 401-player list.
The 2018 Reese's Senior Bowl is set to take place on Jan. 27.
