Niners deactivate Gore, Harris against Falcons

Running back Frank Gore and cornerback Walt Harris were deactivated by the San Francisco 49ers for Sunday's game at Atlanta.

Gore, who sprained his ankle two weeks ago against the New York Giants, has been limited in practice all week. The Pro Bowl running back managed just 41 yards against New Orleans last Sunday, giving him 435 yards rushing and three touchdowns this season.

The loss of Gore, who leads the team with 435 yards rushing and three touchdowns, left Maurice Hicks and Michael Robinson as the top running backs. Robinson started the game and Hicks scored one a 9-yard touchdown run on the 49ers first drive .

Harris was officially listed as doubtful for the 49ers' game against the Falcons because of a sprained knee. Harris didn't participate in any practices this week, including Friday's light workout before San Francisco's flight to Atlanta.

Receiver Darrell Jackson, who missed the game against the Saints with a strained quadriceps, was on the active list, but left tackle Jonas Jennings was inactive with a sprained ankle. Adam Snyder will start in Jennings' place.
