San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said on his weekly radio show that wide receiver Braylon Edwards is day to day with a knee injury, according to Comcast SportsNet Bay Area.
Edwards sustained a right knee sprain on a 21-yard catch in the 49ers' opening series during Sunday's overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
"We've gotten the results," Baalke said. "He's a little nicked up and day to day right now. He's been seen by our docs. Our medical staff is working with him, and we'll see how he comes along and progresses as the week goes on."
On another note regarding 49ers receivers, Baalke said Michael Crabtree, who was inactive for the Dallas game with a lingering foot injury, is expected to play this week against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"Crab should be healthy this week and ready to go," Baalke said. "And hopefully he is."
The 49ers certainly could use him. They were down to just three healthy receivers Sunday, with Ted Ginn Jr., Josh Morgan and Kyle Williams.
