- WCNC-TV in Charlotte featured well known area-coach E.Z. Smith, who is working as a Heads Up Football Master Trainer. His work will help Kannapolis become the fifth school district in the state to be certified by USA Football. The Winston-Salem Chronicle also focused on the event.
- The Peninsula Gateline in Gig Harbor, Wash., featured the Heads Up Football coaches clinic in its community.
- USA Football's Heads Up Football blog looked at a youth league in Frisco, Texas, that arranged for their kids to learn from high school coaches and players.
