Ohio Dominican WR has visit scheduled with Seahawks

Representatives from four NFL teams were on hand for Ohio Dominican's pro day on March 28. A total of seven Old Dominican players worked out.

Wide receiver Dez Stewart -- 6-0, 203 -- stood on his numbers from Toledo's pro day, where he ran indoors and on FieldTurf. He did the 40-yard dash in 4.41 and 4.47 seconds. He had a 36-inch vertical jum and 10-foot-2 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.30 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.0 seconds. Stewart looked really good in the pro-day workout and has a visit scheduled with the Seattle Seahawks.

KickerBrent Wahle -- 6-2, 185 -- excels on both the soccer field and football field. Wahle looks like a priority free-agent type of prospect.

Virginia

Representatives from 26 NFL teams were on hand for Virginia's pro day on March 15.

A total of nine players worked out indoors on FieldTurf. Only one prospect at the pro day is worthy of being a rookie free-agent pickup for a team following the 2016 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver Canaan Severin -- 6-foot-2 3/8, 211 pounds -- was unable to run, jump or do the bench press due to a left hamstring issue. He had 54 receptions for 759 yards and eight touchdowns for the Cavaliers in 2015.

Fort Hayes State

Only one NFL team was represented at Fort Hayes State's pro day on March 31.

Defensive back Dan Lindsey -- 5-10 1/2, 193 -- ran the 40-yard dash in 4.69 and 4.7 seconds. He had a 37 1/2-inch vertical jump and 10-foot-4 broad jump. He did the 20-yard short shuttle in 4.51 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.28 seconds. He performed 11 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. He is a rookie free-agent possibility.

Personnel workouts

Michigan State safety R.J. Williamson -- 6-0, 216 -- ran the 40 in 4.84 and 4.83 seconds. He had a 29 1/2-inch vertical and 9-foot-6 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.59 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.35 seconds. He worked out indoors and on FieldTurf.

Northern Illinois defensive end Perez Ford -- 6-0, 239 -- ran the 40 in 4.89 and 4.87 seconds. He had a 31-inch vertical and 9-foot-8 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.49 seconds and the three-cone drill in 7.29 seconds. He kept his bench press number (27 reps of 225 pounds) from Northern Illinois' pro day on March 11.
