Christine Michael is a free agent once again.
The Green Bay Packers cut the running back on Monday, the team announced Monday. ESPN first reported the news.
Michael re-signed with the Packers this offseason after being claimed by the team on waivers last November. His low-level deal reportedly came with just $25,000 guaranteed. Michael played in six games in Green Bay, with 31 carries for 114 yards, 3.7 yards per tote, with one touchdown.
The Packers cut Michael and reserve Don Jackson -- who posted a message on Twitter thanking Green Bay for the chance -- after selecting Jamaal Williams, Aaron Jones and Devante Mays during the draft this past weekend.
With Ty Montgomery slated as the starter and the trio of rookies restocking Mike McCarthy's backfield, the 27-year-old Michael was the odd man out.
