Packers WR Jones says he indeed received RFA tender

Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jonestold WBAY-TV on Sunday that he received a restricted free-agent tender from the team last week, according to ESPN Milwaukee.

The *Milwaukee Journal Sentinel* reported last week that Jones and other Packers free agents -- including running back Brandon Jackson, guard Jason Spitz, fullback Korey Hall and safety Atari Bigby -- weren't tendered.

The Journal Sentinel cited a source in reporting that the team placed second-round tenders on guard Daryn Colledge and kicker Mason Crosby. The paper also stated that the team placed a right-of-first-refusal tender on running back John Kuhn.

Jones, a four-year pro, had 50 receptions for 679 yards with five touchdowns last season. He has 149 career catches for 2,069 yards and 13 touchdowns since being drafted by Packers in the third round of the 2007 NFL Draft out of San Jose State.
