Panthers re-sign restricted free agents Salley, Anderson

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Carolina Panthers have re-signed restricted free agent safety Nate Salley and linebacker James Anderson to one-year deals worth $1.01 million apiece.

Both players were offered the low tender by Carolina and did not receive offers from other teams. Clubs would have had to surrender a third-round draft pick to sign Anderson and a fourth-rounder to get Salley.

Anderson and Salley contributed primarily on special teams last season.

The moves on Monday put all of Carolina's restricted free agents under contract. Starting tight end Jeff King signed his one-year, $1.545 million tender several weeks ago.
