Andy Reid should survive the season with the Philadelphia Eagles, but the winds of sweeping change are blowing around the longtime coach.
NFL.com's Ian Rapoport said Tuesday on "NFL Total Access" that a high-ranking official in the organization said the plan entering 2012 was to give Reid the full season, then evaluate after that. Despite the Eagles' ugly 3-8 record, Rapoport says that plan is still in effect.

But while Reid remains entrenched (for the time being anyway), the Eagles are making other moves in their operation as they begin a transition period. Former president Joe Banner is now in Cleveland, and new president Don Smolenski and general manager Howie Roseman are making the organizational decisions that were once under Banner's vast domain, according to Rapoport.
The team recently parted ways with executives in their marketing and communications departments, as Smolenski and Roseman bring in people they know and are comfortable with.
Changes are happening on the front lines as well, as Jason Babin's surprising release proved Tuesday. But expect Reid to remain with the Eagles for the remainer of this lost season, a captain going down with a doomed ship.
