BEREA, Ohio -- Indianapolis Colts receiver Phillip Dorsett garnered rave reviews during OTAs and minicamp.
After completing offseason work, the rookie told Around The NFL on Tuesday that he doesn't know what role he will play this season alongside T.Y. Hilton and Andre Johnson, but plans to make plays whenever the opportunity arises.
"I consider myself a playmaker," Dorsett said from the NFL Rookie Symposium. "I want to be able to earn their trust and be a guy that they can look to to make a big play and make a play anytime. I just want to earn their trust and that's it right now."
Dorsett added that he's learned all the positions and will be ready to go from the jump of next month's training camp.
"I feel really great about the playbook. I learned most of it," he said. "Everything that they installed at OTAs and minicamp I've learned. All the positions: X, F, Y, Z. I learned them all. I love football and studying football, so it hasn't been really that hard for me."

- Jets rookie Bryce Petty raved about the quarterback room with Geno Smith and Ryan Fitzpatrick: "Fitz is an unbelievable guy," he said. "Geno is a stud."
(Geno is a stud. Somewhere Gregg Rosenthal reads that and busts into a watermelon-sized smile.)
- Speaking of Petty, the signal-caller wagered a teammate that he could hit the cross bar of a goal post at the Cleveland Browns' indoor facility from about 45 yards away. Nailed it in one shot. Accuracy!
- Bengals first-round pick Cedric Ogbuehi, coming off an ACL tear, didn't walk with a noticeable limp and said he's "doing good, getting better every day. I'm making progress." He declined to approximate when he'd return from the injury this season.
- Ogbuehi echoed offensive coordinator Hue Jackson's comments last week, saying the Bengals' goal is to finally get a win in the playoffs.
"Get past the hump," he said. "Win a championship. Win the AFC. Just get past the hump is the main focus."
The rookie also has high hopes for a star-studded offensive group.
"Be the best offense in the league," he said when asked about the unit's expectations. "Be the top passing offense, top rushing offense. Just the top offense."
- Soft-spoken Marcus Mariota should give a seminar in how to say words without creating headlines. The Tennessee Titans quarterback did say he's ready for whatever coach Ken Whisenhunt throws at him come training camp.
"I'm doing my best to learn the offense. Whatever they implement, whatever they bring in, I'm going to do my best, go prepare for it and learn," he said.
- Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon believes he can be a three-down back, but isn't there yet.
