AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Winston's first start for the Browns was a memorable one, as he ignited the offense and led Cleveland to a 29-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. Winston put up season-high passing numbers for the Browns, finishing with 334 yards and three touchdowns on 27-of-41 passing with no interceptions and a sterling 115.3 rating.
NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Make that two award-winning performances for Cousins against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this year. Cousins threw for 276 yards and four touchdowns to propel the Falcons past the Bucs, 31-26, on Sunday, giving Atlanta an all-important season sweep of its NFC South rival. Cousins also threw for four TDs in the teams' first matchup back in Week 5 and was also lauded as the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
AFC Defensive Player of the Week
Watt turned in a vintage prime-time performance, closing out the Steelers' 26-18 victory over the New York Giants on Monday night. A strip-sack late in the game by Watt allowed Pittsburgh to wrap up its third straight win, while culminating a stellar performance by Watt, who racked up seven tackles, two sacks, a fumble recovery and a forced fumble.
NFC Defensive Player of the Week
Making his first start, the rookie second-rounder helped the Packers to a 30-27 win Sunday over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He posted eight tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a pass breakup.
AFC Special Teams Player of the Week
With his Steelers needing a spark, Austin provided it, racing 73 yards for his first career punt return touchdown to help Pittsburgh get past the New York Giants, 26-18, on Monday night. Not done there, Austin added a 29-yard TD reception, joining his NFC Special Teams Players of the Week counterpart, Kalif Raymond, as the only two players in the past three seasons with receiving and PR TDs in the same game.
NFC Special Teams Player of the Week
Raymond was a big-play maven on Sunday, highlighting the Lions' impressive 52-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans. Raymond turned in a sensational 90-yard punt return for a touchdown and then added a 7-yard touchdown catch. Joined by his AFC Special Teams Players of the Week counterpart, Calvin Austin III, Raymond is one of two players in the past three seasons with receiving and PR TDs in the same game. On Sunday, he had two catches for 14 yards and five punt returns for 190 yards.
