The Broncos, already holding a commanding 24-7 lead at halftime, scored 17 points in the third quarter to put the game away and keep their playoff hopes alive.

Game balls
Jay Cutler and Selvin Young earned game balls on the first drive of the game. Young had a 50-yard run from scrimmage on his second attempt of the game to set up Jay Cutler's 21-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Stokley two plays later. Young finished with 156 rushing yards. Cutler was nearly unstoppable, completing 20 of 27 passes for 244 yards and four touchdowns. Brandon Marshall also earns a game ball for hauling in 10 catches for 110 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The much maligned Broncos rush defense held the Chiefs to only 16 rushing yards.
