Quick Take: Campbell still has hot hand

What we learned ...

Jason Campbell still has hot hand: The Redskins quarterback followed up a perfect opening in the Hall of Fame game by completing 7-of-10 passes for 71 yards. He led the team on a 12-play drive, capped by Clinton Portis' 1-yard touchdown plunge, at the end of the first quarter.

Redskins show flexibility on defense: Jason Taylor made a cameo appearance at right defensive end instead of the left side. Cornerback Shawn Springs also lined up at free safety for the Redskins who overcame a fumble on the kickoff to hold the Bills to three points.

Bills QB situation: Trent Edwards completed 1-of-5 passes for just 18 yards. J.P. Losman completed nearly 80 percent of his passes and led the Bills on two scoring drives, including a 16-yard touchdown pass to James Hardy.

Colt Brennan won't be the Week 1 starter: There was a movement with some Redskins fans to install Brennan as the starter following his near-perfect, two-touchdown performance against the Colts. Brennan was plagued by some drop passes this week, as he completed 4-of-8 passes for 37 yards.
