Quick Take: Chiefs, Browns search for progress

NFL.com and NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport has his thoughts on the game:

Why this game is intriguing: Some brutal teams have nothing to play for at this time of year, with playoff hopes gone and fans disinterested. Both of these teams do. The coaching staffs of Romeo Crennel and Pat Shurmur are fighting for their jobs, but can they instill such fight in their teams? Perhaps. Both are coming off wins in very difficult circumstances, with the Kansas City Chiefs rocked by the Jovan Belcher murder-suicide tragedy and a Cleveland Browns groundskeeper committing suicide at the team's practice facility. Here's to continued on-field progress for both teams.
