Quick Take: Favre debuts, but Jackson stars

What we learned ...

That No. 4 has potential: Three days after he signed with the team, Brett Favre started under center for the Vikings. The home crowd roared for the 39-year-old quarterback, who played in two series and completed 1 of 4 passes for 4 yards, but former starter and current backup Tarvaris Jackson provided the big highlights. He made some spectacular throws and finished 12-of-15 passing for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
