Game balls
Packers quarterback Brett Favre not only set the all-time mark for touchdown passes and career attempts, he also led his team to a victory and shredded Minnesota's defense in the process. Favre finished with 344 passing yards and two touchdowns. An honorable mention goes to Green Bay punter Jon Ryan, who made a nifty 7-yard run on a fake punt to convert a first down. He also averaged 49 yards on his four punts.

Key stat
Despite running for 155 yards and compiling 382 net yards of offense, the Vikings were undone by their third-down conversion percentage. They only converted on 5-of-15 attempts, the main reason for why they only scored 16 points despite the lofty yard totals.

Noteworthy
Packers defensive back Al Harris left the game briefly but returned to action. The Packers also had secondary member Nick Collins leave the game with an injury. ... The Vikings lost Ray Edwards to a leg injury in the fourth quarter.
