Quick Take: Packers-Vikings

In Brief

» Last meeting: In Week 4, Brett Favre passed for 271 yards and three touchdowns as the Vikings knocked off the Packers, 30-23.
» Streaks: The Packers have won six of the past seven meetings and have a 49-46-1 overall series edge, including the playoffs.
» Last week: While the Vikings suffered their first loss of the season in a 27-17 loss to the Steelers at Heinz Field, the Packers cruised to a 31-3 victory over the Browns in Cleveland.

Keep your eye on ...Aaron Rodgers sticking to the system: In his first game against Favre, Rodgers seemed too desperate to do something dramatic and make a play. He performed reasonably well, but held onto the ball way too long at times and took a few more chances than usual by forcing throws. As with Favre, Rodgers has to remain patient and execute the system, instead of trying to impress his former teammate and straying from the offense.

Favre's composure: After playing for 16 years in Green Bay, Favre heads back to Lambeau Field as an opposing player for the first time. His emotions figure to be high, but he must maintain his focus and keep under control despite his feelings or whatever reaction he gets from the crowd.

Jared Allen's pass rush: Minnesota's Pro Bowl defensive end had 4.5 sacks, a forced fumble and a safety in the first game between these teams earlier this year and if he is able to replicate that type of performance, it could be tough for the Packers to overcome.
