Keep your eye on ...
1. The Patriots' backup QB battle: The competition for Tom Brady's backup gets underway. Matt Cassell and Matt Gutierrez have taken the most snaps so far in camp. Rookie Kevin O'Connell is also in the mix, so we may see three different quarterbacks after Brady's work is done.
2. Patriots WR Chad Jackson: After seeing limited time in his rookie season and never getting off the bench last year, Jackson is looking forward to some live game action in his quest for a role on this year's team. The speedy Jackson could also get reps returning punts and kicks.
1. John Harbaugh's debut: The 45-year-old Harbaugh will be the first head coach not named Brian Billick to roam Baltimore's sidelines in nine years. Harbaugh, who made a name for himself as a special teams coach and later a secondary coach in Philadelphia, has no previous head coaching experience.
2. Ravens RB Ray Rice: With Willis McGahee nursing a sore left knee, the former Rutgers back may end up starting in his NFL debut. Look for the 5-foot-8 Rice to make a statement going up against the Patriots' first-string defense.
