Keep your eye on ...
Rock Cartwright's chance: In eight seasons with Washington, Cartwright has only three career starts. The special teams standout normally does his best work returning kickoffs and covering punts, but with Clinton Portis and Ladell Betts both out, Cartwright will get his opportunity to show he can also be a major contributor in the backfield.
Philadephia's linebacker depth: The Eagles enter this game with serious concerns at the linebacker position. On one side, they are starting Will Witherspoon, who was picked up in a midseason trade with the Rams, and in the middle they are going with Joe Mays, who has never started a game in two seasons. Chris Gocong is established on the other side, but the backups are veteran Jeremiah Trotter, who was signed off the street in Week 5 after missing all of last season, and rookie Moises Fokou. This crew will have to perform well against a Redskins team that prefers to attack the middle of the field with screens, slants and quick outs.
