Keep your eye on ...
1. Seahawks' running back battle: Julius Jones is one of a host of running backs competing to replaced departed running back Shaun Alexander, but possibly the most intriguing. Jones has the talent to be an every-down running back, but was unable to distinguish himself during his time in Dallas.
2. Seahawks rookie tight end John Carlson: The Seahawks gave up a third-round pick to move up 17 spots to nab Carlson. Tight end has long been a trouble spot for Seattle, and coach Mike Holmgren anticipates Carlson starting in Week 1.
3. Vikings safety Tyrell Johnson: The Vikings picked Johnson in the second round as the eventual replacement for veteran Darren Sharper. Johnson, out of Arkansas State, should see considerable playing time against the Seahawks.
