Washington's second-year second-rounders: The Redskins selected two receivers and a tight end with their first three picks in the 2008 draft. All three players struggled to make much of an impact last season, but this year Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas are engaged in a fierce battle to win the No. 2 wideout spot opposite Santana Moss and backup TE Fred Davis is trying get more playing time.

Albert Haynesworth's debut with the Redskins: Free agency's biggest prize went to Washington for a $100 million deal in the offseason. After sitting out last week, he will see his first action in a Redskins uniform Saturday vs. Pittsburgh.

Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall's progress: A first-round pick in 2008, Mendenhall's rookie season was cut short by a shoulder injury. This year, he is healthy and trying to carve out a bigger role in Pittsburgh's offense with a strong preseason performance.
