ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) - The Oakland Raiders have selected Penn State defensive end Jack Crawford with the 158th pick in the NFL draft.
The Raiders traded down 10 spots Saturday before taking Crawford. Oakland also got a seventh-round pick from Detroit in the deal.
Crawford started three years at Penn State but is still new to football. He moved from England to the United States to play basketball in high school and picked up football in his junior year in high school. He had 6.5 sacks for the Nittany Lions last season.
The Raiders previously selected Utah guard Tony Bergstrom with a compensatory pick at the end of the third round and San Diego State linebacker Miles Burris with a compensatory pick at the end of the fourth.
