Raiders RB McFadden out vs. Chargers; Bush set to start

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden missed his third consecutive practice Friday with a sore hamstring and has been ruled out for this weekend's game against the AFC West rival San Diego Chargers, the team announced.

Michael Bush is expected to start Sunday and attempt to carry a Raiders offense that has been led by McFadden, a former first-round draft pick who is tied for third in the NFL with 392 rushing yards. That's 35 more than he had all last season.

It's the best -- and most surprising -- start by a Raiders running back since Lamont Jordan ran for 424 yards after four games in 2007.

Backup running back Michael Bennett (hamstring), offensive lineman Robert Gallery (hamstring), defensive tackle John Henderson (foot), linebackers Thomas Howard (knee) and Travis Goethel (back), and wide receiver Chaz Schilens (knee) are listed as out. Linebacker Quentin Groves (hamstring) is questionable.
