The Oakland Raiders signed fifth-round draft pick Eric Frampton to a contract on Friday. Frampton was an All-Conference (Pac-10) selection at WSU in 2006, where he led the team in tackles with 100, a team-high five interceptions, and two forced fumbles. For his efforts, the 5-foot-11, 205-pound safety was selected as the team's defensive MVP of 2006.
"It feels good for everything to be solidified and for me to be able to focus on what I need to do," said Frampton. "This is a start. It's definitely a milestone accomplished along the way. I'm grateful [the contract] is all done. I think in OTAs and Mini-Camp I was preparing myself to be a Raider. This is another milestone on my way to accomplishing my goals. Starting in college, with setting goals and focusing on them, to reach those goals is truly a blessing."
Frampton will report to his first NFL Training Camp on July 26th at the Raiders Napa Valley Training Complex.
