Rams' Bradford makes return vs. Cardinals; Kolb sits

As expected, St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford is active and will start in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Bradford will wear a thin brace on his left ankle, the Rams announced. Bradford missed the past two games for the Rams because of a high ankle sprain sustained during the end of a Week 6 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

News was not as good for the other injured quarterback in Sunday's NFC West tilt, as the Cardinals announced Kevin Kolb will miss his first game of the season. Kolb battled a nagging turf toe injury throughout the week and wore a walking boot on his injured foot up until Wednesday.

Rams linebacker Brady Poppinga (calf) is active, as are Cardinals running back Beanie Wells (knee) and tight end Todd Heap (hamstring).
