Rams sign 7th-round draft pick Jackson

ST. LOUIS (AP) -The St. Louis Rams have signed seventh-round draft pick Keith Jackson to a three-year contract, the team said Monday.

Terms were not disclosed.

Jackson, a 6-foot, 315-pound defensive tackle from Arkansas, is the third 2007 draft choice to sign with the Rams. They previously signed third-round pick Jonathan Wade, a cornerback from Tennessee, and another seventh-rounder, wide receiver Derek Stanley of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Jackson, the son of six-time Pro Bowl tight end Keith Jackson Sr., was an Associated Press all-Southeastern Conference selection last season after registering 79 tackles, 2.5 sacks and two interceptions for the Razorbacks.

Still unsigned as the Rams approach the start of training camp July 26 are first-round pick Adam Carriker, a defensive end from Nebraska; second-round pick Brian Leonard, a fullback from Rutgers; fifth-round picks Dustin Fry, a center from Clemson, and Clifton Ryan, a defensive tackle from Michigan State; and sixth-round pick Ken Shackleford, an offensive tackle from Georgia.
