Rams starting guard Bell has knee surgery, will miss 4 to 6 weeks

St. Louis Rams starting guard Jacob Bell will be out four to six weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery early Tuesday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.

"Last week, Monday or Tuesday, during a running program (he had) a little issue with his knee," Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo told the Post-Dispatch. "He'll be fine for training camp. It was more of a cleanup (to remove loose bodies) than anything else. But it was bothering him, and we figured we'd do it now."

Bell, who's entering his seventh NFL season and third with the Rams, has started 13 games in each of his last two seasons in St. Louis. Bell has played in 81 games in his career and made 72 starts.
