Baltimore Ravens running back Justin Forsett did his own Santa Claus impersonation this week, gifting his offensive linemen and tight ends each a 55-inch flat screen TV as thanks for their help in his breakout season.
"I've been in a lot of offenses, and I've always wanted to reach 1,000 yards," Forsett said Wednesday, per The Baltimore Sun. "I know how important the offensive line is, and I wanted to show them how much I appreciate them. I put them in the locker room last night, so when they came in they were able to see them."
This isn't some high-income quarterback allowing the wealth to trickle down to his blockers. Forsett signed a one-year, $730,000 veteran-minimum contract in the offseason and is on his fourth team in four years.
The seventh-year pro has been a revelation in Gary Kubiak's system, compiling a career-high 1,147 yards through 15 games. Forsett is sixth in the NFL in rushing yards and his 5.3 yards per carry are tops for any player with more than 75 attempts.
A lot of Forsett's success this season has come from his offensive line, which the running back wanted to give thanks for this holiday season.
