Redman starting for Steelers; Mendenhall to play a reserve role

The Pittsburgh Steelers plan to start Isaac Redman at running back in Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans, according to a team source.

Rashard Mendenhall will play, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told NFL Network's Stacey Dales, and contribute as a backup. Mendenhall was a full participant in Friday's practice but was listed as questionable on the team's injury report. He injured his hamstring during Pittsburgh's 17-10 loss to the Houston Texans last week.

Redman has gained 107 yards on 22 carries so far this season.

For the Titans, tight end Craig Stevens (rib) and guard LeRoy Harris (ankle) are both active and expected to play.
