Redskins' Portis, Haynesworth nursing injuries but should play

ASHBURN, Va. -- Running back Clinton Portis and defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth are among the gimpy Washington Redskins.

Portis, Haynesworth, cornerback Carlos Rogers and fullback Mike Sellers sat out practice Wednesday, but Redskins coach Jim Zorn was optimistic that all four will play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Portis was kicked in the calf during last weekend's loss to the Detroit Lions and has been dealing with bone spurs in his ankles. Haynesworth has a strained hip muscle. Rogers has a slightly swollen ankle, and Sellers has a bruised thigh muscle.

Haynesworth's injury looked much more serious when he was carted off the field in the loss to the Lions, but Zorn said: "I suspect by the end of the week he'll be out there."
