Redskins re-sign LB London Fletcher

ASHBURN, Va. (AP) - The Washington Redskins have re-signed linebacker London Fletcher, perennially one of the NFL's leading tacklers.

Fletcher has been a member of the Redskins for five seasons, leading the team in tackles each year and appearing in the last three Pro Bowls. He got a two-year deal.

He has made at least 100 tackles in 13 consecutive seasons

Fletcher, who turns 37 next month, has never missed a game in his NFL career, having played in 224 straight since debuting with the St. Louis Rams in 1998. His consecutive starts streak of 179 is 99 games ahead of the second-longest streak by an active linebacker.

The deal got done in time for the start of the team's offseason conditioning program on Monday.
