The Washington Redskins have signed fullback Carey Davis, reports NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora, citing a league source.
The terms of the deal were undisclosed.
Davis, 31, has appeared in 37 games during his career, rushing for 118 yards on 31 attempts with the Indianapolis Colts, Atlanta Falcons, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers -- most notably with the Steelers from 2007 to 2009.
Fullback Mike Sellers, a former Pro Bowler, injured his knee in the second quarter of the Redskins' 23-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens Saturday night.
