Maryland wide receiver Stefon Diggs is likely to miss the rest of the regular season with a lacerated kidney.
Diggs, who was suspended for this week's game against Michigan State anyway, suffered the injury in the Terrapins' win over Penn State on Saturday, and The Baltimore Sun reported he could miss the rest of the regular season.
The Terps (6-3) already are bowl-eligible, and Diggs presumably would be back for any postseason action.
Diggs is Maryland's best player and the second-leading receiver in the Big Ten, and the Terps' depth at wide receiver is questionable. While Maryland isn't likely to beat Michigan State, the Terps finish the regular season with winnable games against Michigan and Rutgers.
