The New Orleans Saints definitely could use a pass rusher, and one of the best available edge rushers in this draft -- albeit one surrounded by questions -- is visiting the team this week.
Fox Sports 1 reported Nebraska's Randy Gregory -- who failed a drug test at the NFL Scouting Combine -- will meet with the Saints.
The Saints have the 13th overall pick, and while Gregory once was seen as a likely top-10 selection, his stock now seems to be fluctuating because of the drug test. He could be available when New Orleans makes its first pick.
"Randy Gregory's positive pot test and weighing 235 at the combine scared off many teams near the top of the draft -- but some of those teams, after due diligence, are feeling more comfortable with Gregory early in the round," Sports Illustrated's Peter King wrote Monday.
The Saints had 35 sacks in 2014, which ranked 25th in the league. They recently signed veteran outside linebacker Anthony Spencer, but he's 31 and cannot be seen as any kind of long-term answer.
Four NFL Media analysts who have done mock drafts have the Saints taking an edge rusher with their first-round pick, and two of them have the Saints grabbing Gregory. New Orleans also picks 31st overall, but even with the positive drug test, it seems unlikely Gregory takes that much of a tumble.
