Last month Sam Bradford said if he wasn't ready for 11-on-11 drills by the time training camp rolled around "something has gone horribly wrong."
With 10 days to go before the Philadelphia Eagles hit the field on Aug. 2, it appears nothing has gone wrong yet, horribly or otherwise.
A report from NJ Advance Media states that Bradford is "looking great" in rehab, according to a source, and should be ready by training camp.
Coming off his second torn ACL, Bradford wasn't very mobile and the Eagles kept him out of full team drills during offseason minicamp.
Chip Kelly insisted this offseason that the Eagles will have a full-fledged open competition for the quarterback job between Bradford and Mark Sanchez. If Bradford's knee does indeed "look great" on Aug. 2, he should be considered the favorite.
Kelly brought in the oft-injured quarterback because Bradford's accuracy is perfect for the coach's system. Whether the signal-caller's decision-making and health are up to par are big questions we need answered in training camp.
