Report: Tulloch signs with Lions, reunites with Schwartz

The Detroit Lions have signed middle linebacker Stephen Tulloch to a one-year deal, reuniting him with Jim Schwartz, the *Chicago Sun-Times* reported Sunday, citing a league soruce.

Schwartz knows Tulloch, 26, from his days as the Tennessee Titans' defensive coordinator during the linebacker's first three seasons in the NFL. Tulloch led the Titans with 160 tackles last season, starting every game for the first time in his five-year career. He added a sack, six passes defensed and an interception.

The Lions also looked at free-agent linebacker Nick Barnett, who flew to Detroit on Saturday for a Sunday visit, a league source told NFL Network inside Jason La Canfora.

Barnett was released by the Green Bay Packers on Friday, as expected. He played in just four games in 2010 before suffering a season-ending wrist injury.
