CORTLAND, N.Y. -- Cornerback Darrelle Revis and nose tackle Kris Jenkins are among four starters who will miss the New York Jets' preseason opener against the St. Louis Rams because of injuries.
Jets coach Rex Ryan said Tuesday that center Nick Mangold and right tackle Damien Woody also will sit out the home game Friday night. None of the injuries are serious, but Ryan said the team was being cautious since it's early in the preseason.
Revis has missed a few practices with tightness in his left hamstring, and Jenkins has been out since the second day of camp with a strained left calf muscle. Mangold injured his right knee Sunday, and Woody took a blow to the head Monday.
Ryan said fullback Tony Richardson (hip pointer) has a chance to play Friday.
