When it comes to Darrelle Revis, there sure seems to be a lot of uncertainty surrounding a guy who suffered a "mild" concussion.
A day after the star cornerback sat out the New York Jets' 27-10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Rex Ryan made no promises Revis would be back in the lineup next week against the Miami Dolphins.
"I don't think we can assume that," Rex Ryan said Monday, via Rich Cimini of ESPN.com. "To the NFL standards, he has to pass tests. He looks to be doing well, so hopefully he'll be playing."
Revis did some light on-field work Friday, but he still needs to be cleared by a team doctor and an independent neurologist before he can return to full-contact practice and game action.
Revis said Monday he's feeling better, but acknowledged he wasn't 100 percent on Saturday, according to Seth Walder of the New York Daily News.
The Jets need their star back on the field. It's not up to the team -- or Revis -- when that might happen.
