Richard Sherman burnt bridges all over the nation's capital following the Seattle Seahawks' 24-14 wild-card win over the Washington Redskins.
Not long after the Seahawks cornerback scuffled with Redskins offensive tackle Trent Williams, Sherman took a swing at Washington's fan base.
"Nowhere near as loud as our home," Sherman told Comcast SportsNet Washington's Ben Standig. "They have more (capacity than Seattle), but they don't make enough noise."
Sherman plays for a Seahawks team that enjoys one of the NFL's fiercest home-field advantages, the motley "12th Man" contingent that makes Seattle's CenturyLink Field a mega-headache for opposing quarterbacks.
Jabbing at Washington's FedEx crowd is a little tedious -- the Redskins always have rolled with a loyal, involved fan base -- but that's Sherman for you. He's been at it all season, making waves for his postgame encounter with Tom Brady in Week 6 and using Sunday's playoff win as a chance to mouth off to the losing team.
Sherman is one of the game's top cover corners, and nobody can take that away from him. How you feel about the rest of his act depends on your point of view.
