Richie Incognito still might return to Miami Dolphins

As independent investigator Ted Wells investigates the Miami Dolphins, the notion that suspended guard Richie Incognito still might play for the Dolphins remains on the table.

It's been assumed that the controversy from Incognito's suspension could end his playing career. But NFL Media's Jeff Darlington reports it is premature to assume that Incognito is done with the Dolphins, let alone any other team in the NFL.

Wells has concluded his meetings with Incognito, which incorporated more than 30 people in the room.

In addition to Incognito, Wells also met with Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland for more than two hours, offensive line coach Jim Turner for approximately two hours and center Mike Pouncey for approximately one hour, Darlington reports.

Wells is now expected to revisit with Martin to discuss his findings in last week's meetings with members of the organization.

At one point, it was assumed that both Incognito and Martin might have played their last down in the NFL. It now seems clear that both players plan to continue their careers in 2014, even if nobody knows where that could be.
