The Tennessee Titansannounced Thursday they have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Bironas.

The move was expected. Bironas has played his entire eight-year NFL career with the Titans and has been a model of dependability during that time, never missing a game.

"I've said all along that this is where I wanted to be," Bironas told The Tennessean "I am ecstatic to continue my career as a Titan."

Bironas, 35, made 25 of 31 field-goal attempts last season. The 80.6 percent conversion rate was his lowest since 2006.

We'll see how much patience the team has if Bironas continues to trend downward. He missed five of his 10 attempts in the 40- to 49-yard range. Those are the type of missed kicks that cost people jobs.
