Robert Woods, who was drafted in the second round (No. 42 overall) as wide receiver out of USC, signed a four-year contract with the Bills on Monday, the team announced. Expected to line up across from Stevie Johnson, Woods gives the Bills one of the draft's most versatile pass catchers.

New coach Doug Marrone isn't afraid to get creative on offense and Woods figures to see snaps both outside and in the slot.

Pairing a rookie wideout with a first-year quarterback doesn't promise big numbers, but Woods -- after years in a pro-style attack at USC -- gives the Bills a possession-type receiver who should make a smooth transition to the next level.
