New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck said Monday night that he hopes concussed Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick plays on Sunday when the Giants visit Philadelphia.
On Tuesday, Tuck's teammate, safety Antrel Rolle, seconded that opinion.
"I don't want any excuses when we go down to Philly and put it to 'em the way we will," Rolle said on his weekly WFAN-AM radio appearance, according to the New York Post.
Rolle didn't sound too worried about Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, either, even though Jackson effectively knocked the Giants out of the playoffs last season with a game-winning 65-yard punt return for a touchdown.
"I've handled DeSean Jackson one-on-one before," Rolle said, "and I don't see why I wouldn't be able to do it again."
Vick, who suffered the concussion in Philadelphia's 35-31 loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday night, must pass a series of tests before he can be cleared to play against New York, according to Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder.
