The Buffalo Bills came out of Sunday's 37-31 loss to the New England Patriots with a fair amount of disdain for linebacker Brandon Spikes.

Bills in Week 10 on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 9:30 p.m. ET.
Spikes was called for roughing the passer on a fourth-quarter detonation of Ryan Fitzpatrick that dislodged the quarterback's helmet. The Bills starter jawed at Spikes after the hit -- with an official nestled between them -- and later told the Boston Globe there's little love for Spikes in the Buffalo locker room.
"We're not going to back down from anybody. Spikes is an emotional player," Fitzpatrick said. "I think he's a punk at times. He took a cheap shot at (Chandler) Scott in the first game, and he was doing a lot of jabbering and talking and getting out there. Not one of my favorite players. Not high on my list."
Fitzpatrick wasn't alone. Starting center Eric Wood labeled Spikes a "headhunter" after the game.
The NFL might have something to say about Spikes' handiwork, but it won't do much to change a season fading into darkness for the Bills.
