Brees spreads the ball around like no other quarterback in the NFL. In the Week 15 win over the Vikings, he connected with eight different receivers in the first half alone. Whether it's Darren Sproles out of the backfield, Jimmy Graham from the slot or any one of his wide receivers, Brees' options are limitless.
That unpredictability keeps defenses in check. The arsenal is so deep that defenders can't hone in on one target because Brees will simply find the open man. At an even 6-feet tall, Brees isn't a big quarterback but his vision -- and the protection provided by the offensive line -- allows him to see the entire field. As a result, Brees is on the verge of posting record-breaking numbers. He needs just 304 passing yards over the final two weeks of the season to break Dan Marino's 27-year-old mark for most passing yards in a season.
