RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed offensive lineman Ray Willis and signed free agent tight end John Owens.
The team announced Monday the additions to new coach Jim Mora's offense. Mora promises to increase the Seahawks' emphasis on running the ball.
The imposing, physical Willis, at 6-foot-6 and 315 pounds, was Seattle's fourth-round draft choice in 2005. The 26-year-old made all 10 of his career starts last season when the Seahawks' offensive line was beset by injuries.
Owens is a blocking specialist who played with Detroit last season. He was a fifth-round pick by the Lions in 2002. He has also played for Chicago, Cleveland and New Orleans.
Owens has started 16 of his 60 NFL games.
